Designed to cope with the cold, damp and high winds on the slopes – and able to withstand heavy falls – a pair of salopettes/ski pants is a must-have on the slopes. Cue the Anton 2, a new update on a classically styled pair of salopettes that has plenty of pockets.
Maier Sports Anton 2 men’s ski pants: design
Available in red, green, blue, orange, black and grey, the Anton 2’s are made from mTEX 10.000 fabric, which as well as being very soft is waterproof, windproof and breathable. Best paired with Maier Sports Podkoren ski jacket the Anton 2 looks great. There are a couple of hand pockets that zip-up, and two zip pockets on the back, too. That’s all really handy for safely storing credit cards (since many ski resorts are now cashless), keys and other valuables.
Maier Sports Anton 2 men’s ski pants: performance
TravGear found the Anton 2 ski pants really comfortable. The elastic fabric gives a lot of freedom of movement, while the adjustable waist and (detachable) braces helped make the Anton 2’s feel glove-like. Available in short and long sizes as well as the regular fit tried by TravGear, the Anton 2’s warm insulation provides invaluable at the top of mountains.
Maier Sports Anton 2 men’s ski pants: conclusion
Comfortable, functional and warm, the Maier Sports Anton 2 salopettes were easy to get on and worked well with ski boots. A great all-round pair of salopettes/ski pants for all conditions.
