PREVIEW: Libratone TRACK+

CES 2018, Las Vegas: lightweight wireless earphones with Bluetooth and adjustable noise cancellation look perfect for travelling light

Noise cancelling earphones are great for travelling long haul,  but they are often bulky and heavy, as well as expensive. Could these new wireless in-ears be the answer for lightweight travel?

Unveiled in Las Vegas this week, the new Libratone TRACK+ Wireless In-Ear uses four-level adjustable noise cancellation called ‘Adaptive CityMix II’. That’s about giving automatic control of how much outside noise you can hear. The TRACK+ also feature a weather resistant design up to IPX4 (splash proof) and sweat-proof earbuds, which suggest they may be good for using in the hotel gym when you reach your destination.

“Our ambition is to provide our customers with sophisticated technical products that offer a smooth user-experience that’s synonymous with stylish Danish design, great sound, freedom and ease of use. The new TRACK+ Wireless In-Ear totally fulfil our desire”, says Uffe Kjems Hansen, Global Product Management Director of Libratone.

The TRACK+ Wireless In-Ear comes in black or white, and the price will be UK£169. The new wireless earphones will also be available in an entry level version without CityMix II, called TRACK, featuring an even lighter design. The price for TRACK will be UK£120. Both models will be sold on Libratone.com, Amazon and selected resellers in the summer of 2018.

TravGear will endeavour to write a full review of the TRACK+ as soon as possible.
