Three waterproof cases for iPhones

It’s wet, it’s windy, and you’re venturing out to hike, camp, ski or travel in monsoon season. Here’s how to protect your iPhone 6, iPhone 6S, iPhone 7, iPhone 8 or iPhone X

01 – Tech 21 EvoAqua 360 Edition for iPhone 7 & iPhone 8

The Tech 21 EvoAqua 360 Edition is sturdy. Really sturdy. It’s specs are impressive; when wrapped around an iPhone 7 or 8 and you can drop it from from 2 m/6.6 feet, and take it underwater to 3 m/9.9 feet (that latter spec depends on pressure). So it should do the trick for most outdoors trips. I want to read the full review on TravGear

02 – Thule Atmos X5 for iPhone 6 & iPhone 6S

It’s an IP68 rating that gives the Thule Atmos X5 waterproof and dust-proof characteristics. It’s quick enough to dress an iPhone 6/6S, with a quick slide and a few snaps to get it snugly inside its waterproof wrapper. It took to water like the proverbial duck, though don’t expect it to float. I want to read the full review on TravGear

03 – LifeProof frē for iPhone 7, iPhone 8 & iPhone X

The key feature on the LifeProof frē isn’t that it can be submerged two metres underwater, but that its function button – though covered by a thin transparent film – is Touch ID-compatible. For anyone who’s well used to simply putting their thumb over the function button to skip through the four-digit security process, having to abandon that every time you take a trip is a pain. Especially since you’re likely using the iPhone’s mapping while on your travels – and constantly having to enter that code. I want to read the full review on TravGear
