Five luxury gadgets for the ultimate business trip

Destined for the front of the plane, these gadgets will help the strain out of business travel and keep you productive

01 – Avegant Glyph

The Avegant Glyph looks like a pair of headphones, but instead of being worn over your head, drops down in front of your eyes. This is ‘personal video’, and what you see is the equivalent of a 65-inch screen from a few metres away. The resolution is limited to HD-ready, and it attaches to your phone … or any other video source. I want to read TravGear’s full review

02 – Royole Moon

Another head-mounted ‘personal home cinema’, the Royole Moon gives more resolution than its competitor, and adds AMOLED panels for much better contrast. It’s easy to drag and drop videos, photos and music onto an Android-based controller that’s wired to the headset. Add some noise cancelling headphones and this is the finest personal home cinema headset yet. I want to read TravGear’s full review

03 – LG X Venture smartphone

Don’t underestimate the value of a good camera for business trips. This new phone’s 16-megapixel rear camera is perfect for document-scanning, which means paperless journeys after from conferences and meetings. Phew. Its 5.2-inch Full HD display and octa-core processor are also useful. I want to find out more

The world’s first convertible and detachable laptop-tablet, the super-slim Book One features an auto-latch, a seven-point trackpad, full-size keyboard with dimmable backlight, a 10-finger multi-touch touchscreen, and an Intel Core i7 processor. Its battery lasts up to 14 hours, and it recharges in two hours. Runs on Windows Pro 10. I want to read TravGear’s full review

05 – Kobo Aura H2O Edition 2

The headline feature is obvious; this is the only eReader available that’s waterproof (waterproof for up to 60 minutes in up to 2m of water), and as such Kobo is making a play for travellers who like to sit around the pool and read while on a holiday. Also has a built-in light for reading on night flights.  I want to read TravGear’s full review
