REVIEWED: STM Dux cover for iPhone 6 Plus

Apple’s most massive mobile gets a bumpy ride

Hot on the heels of the bump-proof STM Dux for iPad Mini and iPad Air comes this version for the iPhone 6 Plus. It’s plastic, but the rubberised polycarbonate design – available in either red or (the frankly much nicer-looking) black – is soft to the touch and easy to grip.

Curved corners

The corners are curved, which helps the Dux dissipate energy if you drop your phone.. In practice we felt much safer with the Dux on than off, but it is a little chubbier than the Tech 21 Classic Tactical case for iPhone 6 Plus, which we tested recently. However, it goes in and out of a trouser pocket easily, while the entire things lifts from a phone in seconds.

Transparent attraction

What we do like about the STM Dux is its transparent back, which helps show-off the phone a little more, while the cutout for the camera is large enough not to reflect the flash. A small cutout on one of the corners allows a wrist-strap to be attached, which is probably unlikely, but overall this is a functional effort perfect for protecting a phone during your travels.

Price as reviewed: £29.99
