LAS VEGAS: Almost everything at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is connected to the internet – even this miniature, portable projector from Shenzhen, China-based ZTE.
Road warriors
Installed with a SIM card, the ZTE SPro2 is firmly aimed at road warriors who often travel for business in small teams. It can get onto a mobile phone network, then offer up to eight wireless smartphones or tablets in the vicinity unrestricted internet access.
Mobile hotspot
The ZTE SPro2 isn’t just a mobile hotspot; it provides twice the projector brightness of its predecessor (200 lumens), has a built-in 6,300 mAh battery for three hours of presentations (or 10 hours as a mobile hotspot) and a 2TB hard disk.
Business travel toy
With USB 3.0 and HDMI ins and outs, a 5-inch touchscreen, the Android OS and a Snapdragon 800 processor, this hotspot-cum-projector is destined to a a business travel favourite.
