REVIEWED: Picr app for iOS
Document your travels in 2015 with a daily selfie!
One-off selfies in tourist hotspots, at football matches and while you’re in the vicinity of a C-lister celeb are fine, but you could be taking a selfie every single day?
iPhone, iPad & iPod Touch
That’s the thinking behind Picr, an app for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch (the pro upgrade is 69p) that comes with a simple tag-line: take a picture a day and see your life in a whole new way.
Time lapse videos
As well as reminding you to take a selfie every day, Picr allows you not only to choose between various attempts but also to create time lapse videos. Better still, only backgrounds and your expression will change because Picr lets you line up the face with a grid, or use an overlay of the last selfie you took.
Track your progress
“I came up with the idea when I renovated my large kitchen – it was very hard and at the end I was annoyed because I didn’t take any pictures of the progress,” says Marcus Rumbohm, Indie developer and founder of Picr-maker MobileAppVault. “I decided to develop an app to remind me to take a picture at a specific repeat interval. I guess there are a lot of similar apps but I wanted an app which is easy to use, like the iOS timer app. Picr was born.”
