REVIEWED: Dell M900HD portable LED projector
Ultra bright, easy to travel with and with an iOS and Android app, Dell has produced one of the finest LED-powered portable projectors around
Fitted with 2GB of flash storage, it’s possible to drag ‘n’ drop a host of video and other files to the Dell M900HD for instant projection. That’s really handy if you’re used to travelling with – and losing – myriad tiny USB sticks packed full of files.
Free app
With WiFi, WiDi, Miracast and a free WiFi-Doc app for iPad and Android tablet-based presentations, this 1.3kg M900HD – which comes with a velvet slip-case and padded case for transporting – manages a handy 900 lumens in a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution.
HDMI output
That creates a 16:10 aspect that’s ideally suited to both films and the latest laptops.Featuring a HDMI output, USB 2.0 slot, SD Card slot (both for playing AVI, MKV, MPEG-2, MP4, MOV and WMV video files) and a 3.5mm audio output jack, the M900HD is on-trend, versatile and highly capable, but it does forget the past a little too much; it’s got no RGB PC input. It does, however, also feature a 3W speaker, along with highly watchable moving images.
