If they’re small enough and offer hands-free options for smartphones, Bluetooth speakers can be great for travel, but Logitech’s effort is a classic mixed bag.
Versatile and lightweight
At 214x172x94 mm and weighing 219g, this versatile speaker’s curved design and lightweight quality are easy to travel with, with a simple to configure Bluetooth feature allowing the streaming of songs quickly. It’s even possible to navigate an iPhone’s contents from the speaker’s rather fiddly touch-sensitive controls.
Good value sound
Audio is best described as good value; balanced enough, though with chipped treble detailing. Battery power is beyond acceptable – it kept going for around seven hours in our test. Also includes a mic for coherent hands-free phone calls and a handy USB-fed interchangeable ULK/EU power adaptor that will also charge phones.
Hands-free calls
Bluetooth on a budget, it’s the hands-free calling that lends the Logitech Mini Boombox Bluetooth speaker bags of value.
